SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Your entire order will ship together as soon as all items are ready for shipping. However, if you prefer to have the available items shipped first please let us know. Please consider placing a separate order for your back-ordered items if you prefer not to wait on them for the rest of your items to ship. Payment for all items is collected when your order is placed.
1.1 Items can only be shipped once payments have been made and cleared. No items will be shipped provisionally, or while awaiting payment.
1.2 Made-to-order items can take up to 3–4 weeks in production. Shipping of made-to-order items is within 7 (seven) days from final date of production.
1.3 Items can only be shipped to a physical address where they can be received and signed for. Items cannot be shipped to P.O. Box addresses.
1.4 All orders will require a signature on delivery.
1.5 All Orders are shipped by courier (DHL or other trustworthy courier services used by Afrogem). Afrogem does not make use of postal services.
1.6 If an order is returned to us due to the courier service not being able to complete the delivery for any reason, the customer will be responsible for the repeat delivery costs.
1.7 Orders will be shipped during office hours Monday to Friday.
2. LOST OR DAMAGED PACKAGES:
2.1 The Customer shall inspect all products upon delivery. Failure to inspect products within 7 days after delivery shall constitute a waiver of The Customer’s rights of inspection and shall be equivalent to acceptance of the product.
2.2 Please do not accept a package that has been opened, or has clear signs of having been opened and resealed, unless

2.4 If your items arrive damaged, please contact us within 7 (seven) working days of receipt. We'll work with you to come up with a solution on a case-by-case basis.
2.5 On confirmation of the delivery date from us, should you not receive the items you ordered from us within the delivery time frame (usually 7 working days) from placing the order, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us by email or telephone of the problem. This must happen within 7 working days from the date of expected receipt of delivery as confirmed by us. If you notify us of the issue under this condition, we will investigate with the courier company on your behalf.
3. LOCAL DELIVERY
3.1 Free Deliveries for all Cape Town based clients
3.2 R200 for orders outside of Cape Town.
3.3 Delivery time 2-5 working days from the date your order is accepted, or the final day of production of made-to-order pieces. Working days mean Monday to Friday and do not include weekends.
3.4 Items can only be shipped to a physical address (no P.O. Boxes) and a contactable telephone number must be supplied. Clients will be notified via emailed on the day their items are shipped to confirm their parcel is on its way.
3.5 Clients will be sent tracking information, including courier service and tracking number as soon as the item has been shipped.
3.6 Afrogem uses CourierIt as our local courier company.
4 INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
4.1 R800 for all international shipping.
4.2 The Shipping fee of R800 will be added to the overall price of the order at checkout.
4.3 Shipping time 7-15 working days from the date your order is accepted, or the final day of production of made-to-order pieces.
4.4 Delays may occur during certain times of the year, holiday seasons for example: December and Christmas time generally incur longer delivery times.
Your shipment may also be delayed by customs. These delays are dependant on the customs policy of your country. Please contact your port authority should you wish to check on these.
4.5 You may be liable for any customs and import duty, quotas, permits, product restrictions and other local requirements. These charges must be paid by the recipient of the parcel. Customs policies vary widely from state to state and country to country. Therefore we suggest that you check the requirements in your country before placing an order. We will not be liable for any custom or import duties.
4.6 DHL is the only courier we use for international deliveries – we do not make use of the South African postal service
