Found only in the Meralani Hills of northern Tanzania, Tanzanite was first discovered in 1967.
This rare, mystical gemstone is noted for its remarkably strong trichroism, the radiation of different
colours from each of its three crystallographic axes, which form a kaleidoscope of royal blue to
sensual violet hues.
